I was able to attend the Columbus, Ohio WordCamp that was held July 18-19. Saturday they had a number of sessions held in six different rooms at the same time. From beginning topics to advanced topics. Sunday they had two tracts – the one I attended had to do with developing a WordPress Developer business and dealing with clients. It was certainly worth the time to go and attend. One of the things I learned is WordCamp.org works with local WordPress Meetups like our group to help with organizing and promoting the local meetups.
On of the things to know is that the WordCamp sessions are video recorded. There are several video cameras that are shipped to the WordCamps and the cameras are shipped on to the next WordCamp. The data chips are sent back to WordCamp Central and are published. WordCamp TV is where to look for the replays of WordCamp sessions. Here is a example Cory Miller the founder of iThemes presentation at Miami WordCamp 2015 – This is an interesting history of WordPress.
